How do I add custom functionality to my Acquia website?

Yes, you can add custom functionality to your site through the use of custom Drupal modules, sub-themes, and custom elements.

Why is HTML being escaped when using Drupal tokens?

HTML is escaped when using Drupal tokens in Site studio as a security measure, this follows Drupal core.

Can I develop my own custom elements?

Yes. If you're a developer you can create your own custom elements. These will appear within the 'Custom element' category in the Sidebar browser.

Can I use custom elements inside Components?

Yes. If you develop your own Custom elements you can use them within Components and make their fields editable within your them.

Can I apply custom styles to content in the WYSIWYG?

Yes. As long as you are using the Site Studio text format you will see two new menus ‘Element styles’ and ‘Inline styles’. Use these to apply custom styles.

Why, when I add a block quote via the WYSIWYG, is the text size different to what I’ve set in my Block quote style?

The WYSIWYG (ckeditor) adds a paragraph tag around the text within the block quote. This causes it to inherit the text size of your paragraph base style.

What’s the best value to use with Line heights?

We recommend using decimals e.g. 1.3 as this makes the line height relate to your font size.

Can I use my own SCSS variables in Site Studio?

No, you cannot use SCSS variables in your codebase inside the Site Studio interface.

How do I use an SCSS variable in my styles?

To use an SCSS variable, enter your chosen variable into the appropriate CSS property.

Can I use react components in Site Studio?

Yes, you can render react components.

What units do I add after a value in the Style builder?

You don’t have to add units unless you want to use a specific unit or you’re adding Custom CSS properties.
