How do I add custom functionality to my Acquia website?

Yes, you can add custom functionality to your site through the use of custom Drupal modules, sub-themes, and custom elements.

Can I develop my own custom elements?

Yes. If you're a developer you can create your own custom elements. These will appear within the 'Custom element' category in the Sidebar browser.

Can I use custom elements inside Components?

Yes. If you develop your own Custom elements you can use them within Components and make their fields editable within your them.

What's the difference between mobile first and desktop first?

In mobile first, your styles will inherit upwards from the smallest media query, whereas in desktop first they will inherit down from the largest media query.

What does the breakpoint indicator do?

The breakpoint indicator shows you which breakpoint you're viewing your website at in the bottom left of the browser.

How do I turn off the breakpoint indicator?

Go to Extend > Uninstall and search for Site Studio Breakpoint indicator.

What value should I use to change the opacity of an element?

Opacity is set using a decimal where 0 is transparent, 0.5 is 50% and 1 is solid.

How do I set the width of a Youtube video embed element?

The Youtube video embed is responsive so it should expand to the width of its parent. If you do need to set a width you can apply the Width CSS property through the Style Builder.

If I change a Helper layout, will it change where it's used?

No. Helpers are coupled with the page once placed. Changes to the Helper layout will not affect existing instances.

What does 'Range' do in the menu element?

The 'Range' in the menu list item element sets which list items at the current level the settings should apply to.

Can I build mega menus using Site Studio?

Yes, you can build mega menus using Site Studio. Building mega menus requires advanced knowledge of jQuery in Site Studio and CSS.

Can I use react components in Site Studio?

Yes, you can render react components.
